Gnarls Barley is one crazy music group well-known for their crazy lyrics and insane videos. In fact the song ‘Crazy’, a Marvin Gaye remix, is their most hit song. The band consists of rapper/singer Cee Lo and producer Danger Mouse (DJ from New York). Even though they are known as a hip-hop band, they don’t follow any certain genre. Their music are mostly a mix of r&b, pop, hip hop and electronic. Their first album ‘St. Elsewhere’ came out in 2006 and now they are working on their next album ‘Atlantis’; expected to come out sometime this year. First time I listened to ‘Crazy’, I thought it was just little above OK. I knew it had topped #1 in UK and #4 in US charts, and was quite surprised. Then I heard ‘Who cares’. I still remember the first time I listened to this song; I was driving outbound on Brooklyn bridge, got stuck in the stupid NYC traffic, my ipod was on shuffle mode, suddenly this song came on and I was just stunned by the richness of the music and thoughtful lyric.
